LEAF COLLECTION NOTICE
The Glenwood-Glen Head Garbage District leaf collection will begin Monday November 25, 2024. Leaves will be collected during the months of November and December. Collection will occur every Monday for residents living west of Glen Cove Avenue and Tuesday for residents living east of Glen Cove Avenue. Please place your leaves at the curb in plastic bags that weigh no more than 50 pounds. If you use a landscape professional, please ensure that only the yard waste from your yard is placed at the curb. Excess amounts may not be collected in one day due to tonnage and truck packing considerations. Please remember that garbage should not be placed at the curb any earlier than 5:00 p.m. the day before your scheduled collection day. Pails should be removed the same day.

COLLECTION NOTICE
The Thanksgiving Holiday will be observed on Thursday November 28, 2024. Garbage and recycling collection for residents living east of Glen Cove Avenue will be suspended. For those residents, garbage and recycling collection will occur on Saturday November 30, 2024, and the regular Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday garbage and recycling collection schedule will resume the week of December 2 2024.

Glenwood-Glen Head Garbage District PUBLIC NOTICE GLENWOOD-GLEN HEAD GARBAGE DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to qualified and registered voters of the GLENWOOD-GLEN HEAD GARBAGE DISTRICT in the Town of Oyster Bay, County of Nassau, State of New York, that an election will be held within the District at the Glen Head Community Center, located at 200 Glen Head Road, Glen Head, New York 11545, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. for the purpose of the election of a Commissioner for the District for a term of three (3) years, beginning January 1, 2025 and expiring December 31, 2027. The election is called pursuant to Section 212 of Article 13 of the Town Law of the State of New York, as amended. No person shall be entitled to vote in the election unless he or she is a registered voter who has resided in the District for a period of thirty (30) days preceding the election. Candidates for the office of District Commissioner shall file their names with the Board of Commissioners, at the offices of the attorneys for the District, Sahn Ward Braff Coschignano PLLC, 333 Earle Ovington Boulevard, Suite 601, Uniondale, New York 11553, telephone number (516) 228-1300, at least thirty (30) days prior to the date of the District election and in addition, such nomination must be submitted in petition form subscribed by at least twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the District, in accordance with the provisions and requirements of Subdivision 20 of Section 215 of Article 13 of the Town Law of the State of New York, as amended. The petition must also clearly specify the position and related term for which the Candidate is being nominated. The petition forms may be obtained at the office of the attorney for the District.
