BULK ITEMS
The Garbage District makes every effort to accommodate each resident with their specific needs when it comes to large item removal and collection. Because these items are delivered to a separate waste facility, arrangements for their removal must be made. Any single item or group of similar items (appliances) that exceed 75 lbs)  may be scheduled directly through the Garbage District or you may contact Meadow Carting directly at (516) 338-0121.

  • Appliances
  • Debris from garage and shed clean-outs
  • Power tools and equipment

COLLECTION EXCEPTIONS

There are exceptions to the garbage and trash collected from the curb. The materials listed below must be handled a certain way for safety or regulatory reasons
  • Tires
  • Batteries
  • Waste oil or antifreeze
  • Consumer Electronics
  • Household hazardous wastes
